Maple Roasted Pecans

Maple Roasted Pecans

Can I get an OH MY!  My daughter asked me to roast some pecans for her.  Can you see a pattern lately on requests from my daughter?  She keeps the ideas flowing for me.  :-)

I used to just roast them in butter years ago.  But remembered a friend of mine making a “candied” version of pecans and loving them.  I knew my sweet-toothed daughter would love them too.

Using pure maple syrup makes them a little more healthy than using butter and brown sugar too.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cups raw pecans halves

2 TBSP pure maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

In a bowl, mix the maple syrup and vanilla together.

Pour the nuts into the mixture and stir to coat thoroughly

Spread them out onto the baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through.

Let cool for 10 minutes

ENJOY!
