This weekend marked a very proud Mommy Moment for me. (Well I guess I really should include the entire family in that statement)
My son GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL!
I have been full of pride and emotion!
If you have noticed a little less posting here recently it’s because we have been so busy around our house for the past month getting things organized and looking the way I wanted them too. Painting, re-doing, de-cluttering! I wish that wasn’t my personality sometimes but it is and I embrace it. You should have seen my list!
We had (6) Out-of-State family members fly in to stay at our house….and I don’t have a big house!! It was SO much fun to have all of them with us and it actually wasn’t even that chaotic. LOL! We had a great celebration Saturday with over 20 of your family and friends.
I still can’t believe his graduation has come and gone. I feel like we have been preparing for so long. I had no idea that I would be so emotional leading up to it. To watch this sweet child turn into such an amazing young man is more than I can express. I have learned that I am not a mom that looks forward to this “new” season. I want more time. I can’t imagine the days when I don’t see him every.single.day. And I am SO glad now that we have 8 years before I have to do this again! Whew!
So THANK YOU ALL for hanging in there with me while I have been a little sparse. I have a few more busy weeks ahead of me that may bring fewer postings here. But I promise I will post the coupons and offers that I feel are the best for you to save with.

I have a little secret……I wasn’t around much this week and even less today because I was traveling home from a wonderful little vacation with my 2 children to visit 2 very special people in Florida.
Living in New England starts to wear on this southern girl this time of year and I am blessed that my husband sends us to visit his mother to spend a few glorious days in the warmth!
We had SO much fun!! Sophie did a LOT of this…..

I did a little of this……

And we enjoyed these two fabulous people!!!
We made it home safe and sound and now I am cozy in my jammies in my favorite chair surrounded by snow
It’s hard to leave the warmth but so great to be home.
Taking a moment away from finding those bargains I just had to share this picture.
My 8 year old has been learning to knit (as part of our Homeschool Arts & Crafts). This week she is making a blanket for her Elf on the Shelf
, Fred, that has rejoined our home.
Here is what I’m looking at right now! A kitty’s dream, Yarn and a Lap!

(Does anyone else do the Elf on the Shelf
Holiday tradition?)
My sweet 8 year old daughter saw my inserts from last weekend on the counter last night …yes, still sitting there
… and decided she would help out. This is what I saw when I walked in the living room. I had to laugh and think that I am creating a future couponer for sure! It’s amazing how they catch on, isn’t it.

Yippee!! I’m back and so excited to present the new “Luv a Bargain”!
I was down a little longer than we expected because of some technical issues. Shannon at Momreinvented is my hero and has been such a huge and wonderful help! There is some more tweaking to be done but at least all of my previous posts are moved here and it’s back to business as usual.
I am hoping that your feeds and email subscriptions are updating as usual. If not, I would love it so much if you would hang in there with me and re-subscribe
Thank you so much again for all of your support. You have no idea how much it means to me.
Scroll down for a few of today’s great bargain finds!!!
Today is the day! My long awaited move from Blogger to WordPress is happening between tonight and tomorrow. I am so excited for you to see my new look. There is a slight chance that my site could be down for a few hours so please don’t be alarmed. Stay tuned………..tomorrow is a whole new day:) I owe it all to Shannon at Mom Reinvented for her wonderful expertise!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween! We had a great night full of fun! This was the first year my son didn’t go Trick-o-Treating. I was really kind of sad. But I did get him to carve a pumpkin:).

Little Flapper Girl

The Flapper and her Princess Doggie

Me and Sophie (with our matching nails, Ha!) waiting very patiently to leave the house.

I don’t think Princess Doggie was as amused as we were!

How I would so love the life of a lazy dog and fat cat!
Some things never cease to amaze me. Is that really a book?

From this……

To this…..what a difference a day makes.
