One of the wonderful things I have learned from using coupons, and getting items for so cheap, is that we can donate our stockpiled items to those in need and less fortunate. Starting May 6th – 12th, bloggers all over the country, including myself, are joining together with Couponing for Community.
Last year, 127 bloggers promoted this cause and collected a whopping 26,639 items. The goal this year is to donate 30,000 items!
I would love for you to join us in this amazing week to help others. Get your children involved and use this as an opportunity to teach them about giving! Use your couponing skills and give to a shelter, food pantry, or someone in your community that is in need. Please “Share this” with your friends and family to join in too!
May 12th is also National Stamp Out Hunger Day where you can leave a bag of non-perishable items for your postman to pick up by your mailbox. (check to see if your area is participating)
- Head on over and “Like” Couponing for Community to stay up to date on the progress and details.
- Then, set aside items that you will be able to donate during the week of May 6-12. Be sure to keep a record of what you donating so we can add it to the total. Feel free to share a picture and your story on the Facebook page as well.
This is going to be SO great!!
A huge thanks to Kalie at Cha Ching on a Shoestring for creating this beautiful cause!!
